Do you really know God? Do you really really love Him?
" I am not asking you how much you know about God."
-Unknown Author
You can know all about presidents, royalties, celebrities, but that doesn't mean you know them. Mere knowledge does not mean an intimate friendship.
E.g A wife and husband can do things for each other while never really loving each other. They can go through childbirth classes, have kids, etc, but never really enjoy the God ordained intimacy designed for marriage.
Do you really know God?
" What is the difference between knowing about God and actually knowing God?"
In Christianity, Christians are called to be "doers of the word", and not just listen and forget about it. But:
Are you doing things for God, but forgetting about Him?
Are you doing things because of Him and because it his heart?
Are you so caught up in being religious that you are no longer spiritual?
Have you allowed other things to fill you up,
e.g. even knowledge of His word, songs in worship, even ministry,
to replace that desire for His presence, that desire for Him?
Have you lost your first love?
Perhaps there is a gnawing vacuum of emptiness in the midst of your "accomplishments."
Perhaps you are in a frustrating funk, a divine depression of destiny.
Perhaps you feel there is something more than this.
Will you run back to Him?
