as the breeze of life blows...

A church is a place where God is and where we can approach Him freely, sing and pray to Him freely. But sometimes I really wonder do Christians (me included) know that a church is the House Of God? That it is where God is, where the high and mighty God is? Every week I will see people late, see people sleeping in services, see people eating and drinking in the middle of services, talking loudly, etc. Do Christians still have a reverence for the church? Do you approach the church with respect and care? Just as A.W Tozer says,

"Do you quietly bow your head in reverence when you step into the average church? I would be surprised if your answer is yes..."

It is through Jesus Christ that we are able to approach God freely. Do you take this freedom for granted? Or worse, do you even talk to God even though you are a Christian?

In the past, approaching God is a dangerous task, never to be taken lightly. Slight careless will often result in...

Acts 5:1-11: " What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied to men but to God." When Ananiaz heard this, he fell down and died....At the moment, she (Sapphira) felt down at his (Peter) feet and died." (Emphasis Added)

Leviticus 10:1-2: " Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added, incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, contrary to His command. So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord." (Emphasis Added)

These are only 2 examples out of the many! Do you approach God and the church, the house of God, recklessly? Taking the church for granted? Taking Jesus Christ for granted? Taking God for granted? Are You always,
- Late?
- Talking during service?
- Sleeping during service?
- Drinking and eating during service when you are told not to?

It is my prayer that we do not take our church for granted, and always have this reverence and respect for the church and God... I too have this problem of lateness and taking the church for granted. But let us change together, and not take the church for granted..
