There was a man who got a terminal illness. He went to see the doctor and the doctor told him he is going to die soon. Stricken by sorrow, he went off and wanted to kill himself. He walked towards a building and wanted to go to the roof top, jump off and kill himself, rather than live in fear and darkness of impending death. As soon as he exited into the roof, he saw a marvelous light, so bright and marvelous that it is more magnificent than the sun. Brightened up by the light, hope developed in his heart and he decided not to kill himself. He went to see the doctor again, and found that...

He was healed...

You know who healed him? Not the light... Not the doctor...

God healed him...

Comments:
Has this been scientifically proven?

yes its proven. seeing is believing.

If seeing is believing, am i to assume that all who have been stricken with terminal diseases shall be cured just by seeing that particular bright light which appear right before them?

It is a difficult question.

Yes, we cannot help but wonder sometimes "Why God doesnt make all who are sick to see that bright light then get healed?" But the answer lies in God's all-knowing character who knows better than we do why things happen the way they do. These reasons He has not decided to reveal to us. We need to trust God that He loves us and that even though we might suffer great loss, God is still in control. Sometimes, it comes down to trusting God beyond your ability to comprehend.

God can heal anyone and do anything. But sometimes He decides it's someone's time to go. All you can do is pray. Pray that God would save the person. God might answer "Yes," "No," or "Wait." God heals people in his own way at His own time. Sometimes when people cannot get better anymore on the earth He will let them die in order to get better because when you go to Heaven you are not sick anymore.

Jesus didn't turn away anyone who needed healing. It says in the Bible that He healed people from blindness, deafness, dumbness, and so many other illnesess. I see no instance of Jesus turning down someone who asked for healing. The exception of course is that Jesus didn't do miracles where people had no faith in Him.

But even when He doesn't heal people and give them everything they want, He is still with us when we go through hard times and He doesn't forget us. In the midst of our trials (sickness or whatever they might be), Perhaps God wants to remove from us that which we do not need and replace it with what we absolutely cannot live without - namely Him.

I hope this helps, anonymous =)

To me, the bright light is an analogy to that of God. It is not the bright light that heals but that of God, of hope. With God, with hope, no illness is terminal and all illnesses are curable.

But as Priscilla has said, whether God heals a particular person is all up to Him and not us.

All we can do is to pray, believe and have this light, this hope in our hearts that God will heal, and He will bless.
