Agape Love
Was thinking about love, about friendship, about relationships, about BGR, about God, about love..
Love shouldn't be reciprocal. If a person treats you well, then you treat him well so as to repay his love, isn't it unfair to the person? Love should be pure, coming right from the heart, not loving a person because you want to repay him or his love.. Love should be independent, not depending on how the person treat you and how she is going to respond to that love.. If you consider and ponder how that person is going to react to your love that you are giving her, and from there on you monitor your love, isn't it very unpure and ironical? That a love to give is dependent on a person receives it?
Love should be pure, independent and everlasting, ever giving and ever loving, even though that love may not be appreciated. Thats how Jesus Christ loves us. Agape love. He loved us with such pure, independent and everlasting love, that He didn't think about whether you are going to receive Him into your heart, whether you are going to reciprocate His love or not, He went and died for you. Thats Agape love. A love that surpasses that of the loving of one's own soul. He loves us more than He loves himself.
Agape Love
Jeremiah 31:3:
" I have loved you with an everlasting love;"
Just sharing about love.. =)
